While the most of it is geographically located in West Asia (also popularly known as the Middle East), a part of Turkey also happens to fall in Europe. Though the official language of the country is Turkish it is a land of many languages like Arabic, Kurdish, Armenian and Greek.

    Travel by bus around Turkey is a delight in itself. Equipped with a great crew to attend to the needs of the passengers and air-conditioning these buses offer a quality accommodation. In addition to rest stops every couple of hours or so at restaurants they offer drink and food as well.

    A warning for those visitors who are planning to drive to this country while on the road should be very cautious. Since their roads are often left in poor condition road accident rates are high in Turkey.

    Derived from Mediterranean and Arabic style, Turkey offers a great cuisine. These cuisines often have dishes offering turkeys staple meat- the lamb. In their dishes a lot of spices are also used. While visiting one should be sure to sample Turkish coffee, which is a very popular drink.

    Tourists can schedule their vacation around a total solar eclipse that is predicted on March 29, year 2006 to take place in Turkey and they can experience the phenomenon if they want to.
