Cuba is a huge island in the heart of the Caribbean Sea at the very entrance of the Golf of Mexico. Tourist all around the world visit it to experience its mystifying culture, history or simply for relaxation.

This amazing Caribbean destination has a lot to offer and sets apart from the rest of the islands in the area. Cuba possesses a lot of attributes that make it really unique. Its beautiful beaches on either side of the archipelago are today the main attraction for holiday seekers.

Among the best beach locations in Cuba -Varadero and Guardalavaca - stand out from the crowd for its pristine white sands and turquoise waters. The Cayo islands around main land are famous for its virginity and quietness. Cayo Largo, Cayo Coco, Cayo Santa Maria and Cayo Levisa are just some of the best beach destinations in Cuba.

European and African influences, mixed with aboriginal and Asian ingredients, gave rise to the features that differentiate Cuba from the rest of the islands in the Caribbean. Cuba for Centuries was the centre of the Spanish metropolis in America. This explain why its architecture is so striking and its culture so rich.

The Cuban geography is as diverse as its History and Culture. Among the most striking landscapes are Viales Valley, Escambray Mountains, Sierra Maestra, Cienaga de Zapata (Zapata Swamp), Valle de Yumuri in Matanzas.

Havana - The Capital - is a must if you go on holidays to Cuba. It certainly has the best vibe. There is music in every Caf and a Caf in every corner of the Old Quarter. Beautiful squares to rest and watch the people going bye.

Some of the other locations worth visiting are Playa Larga, Trinidad, Baracoa, Cienfuegos and Santiago de Cuba. Santiago de Cuba is famous for its music, carnivals in July and also for its history. From the Mountains in Santiago de Cuba Fidel Castro led the revolution that ended Batista's dictatorship.

If you want to know the real Cuba you will have to plan your trip with real care. A research about the different locations is a good start. Getting in touch with a tour operator that has the knowledge of Cuba is crucial. It is not going to be more expensive because your holiday is tailor made. In most cases it works actually cheaper than the usual beach holiday. I hope this has encouraged you to experience the real Cuba and wish you an excellent journey.
