For quite sometime I was mulling over writing an article as my tributes to fans of Air Jordans who aren’t perturbed a wee bit at exorbitant prices their favorite sneakers cost but this news bit made me spring up from my couch this morning. The news report got me dumb struck, I was completely lost for words as to what I can call this madness. Ok, first things first, let’s see what it is all about and how is it connected to Nike Air Jordan. A crazy Japanese shoe collector had paid an outlandish $24,000 for a pair of Air Jordans which the connoisseurs called “Holy Grail”. Jesus!

Yes, I was aware of sneaker madness which leads collectors to prepares to shell out a couple of hundred dollars to buy Air Jordans but this is sheer outrageous by all comprehensible means given the fact that the amount could well pay for your brand new Honda Accord car and still leave you with a considerable savings. I know how they scour the internet and pester sellers bidding to buy at obscene amounts, I am also aware that they get up before the day break to stand in line to buy their favorite kicks first on the first day, but believe me, nothing of this type ever. Probably my general awareness is lagging by a mile!

This is not to say that this is specific to Nike sneakers alone; sneaker zombies are crazy and all they want are the coolest and rarest shoe the world has, it could be anyone, for now it is Air Jordans.

    Measuring the Craze

Time and again I recollect how sneaker fans spend their time discussing and dreaming about their kicks alone. There is a bountiful of websites and message boards devoted to further ignite their passion, for me it is reminder of sorts – if craze is driving Nike Air Jordan it is the exact reverse with the fans. Air Jordans enthusiasts know fully well that Nike keeps experimenting with different color schemes, materials and styles to stimulate their obsession further. Nike is treading its way meticulously which is apparent as each new or re-release is limited in number to make sure that shoe stores hardly get 20-30 pairs. Nike is dealing with this by producing shoes as glorious as possible, investing huge amounts on research and design in order to ensure buyers go gaga over them when they see it.

Yes, Nike Air Jordans or Air Jordan x Air Force 1 Fusion, one more hot selling product from Nike, may give you what the rest of your gear may not at a party or at campus. Whatever that may mean, the question is can you think of going out without stepping into your preferred sneaker, especially to where it matters most? The irrefutable point is Nike Air Jordan is produced in a huge choice of colorways and in effect making it a hard task to choose unlike when they were first launched which was the exact opposite.
