Every self development guru has a different approach to success, but what people really want is a simple recipe for success that produces results under any circumstance. I've been using such a formula for years. When you see how well this works, you'll easily make this a part of your results getting routine. After a while, you'll forget you're actually doing it.
I did not come up with this idea on my own. In fact, it's not mine. I "stole" it from the great "Personal Power II" home audio program by Tony Robbins. In short, this is a four step formula for achieving results, regardless of what it is.
No matter what it is you want to accomplish, this plan can be used to achieve results faster and easier. If you're like some, you might find it hard to believe that this can work for you. That is exactly why the hardest part of this is that you must put away all doubt and ignore your beliefs and experiences.
In order for this recipe to work, you must realize that you are the biggest obstacle to your success. What you must commit to is taking action, regardless of any fears or doubts about whether or not success is possible.
If after reviewing this formula, it seems simple to you, that's because it is. Part of the reason it works is because it's simple.
Many people think that you have to work hard to get ahead, and therefore something that seems too easy doesn't have much value. Don't confuse the simple power of this system for something that seems too easy. Passing an electric current through a wire is simple, but inventing the light bulb was no easy task.
Following a process such as this formula helps you stay on track. It can act as a motivation booster when you need it. Below is the four step recipe for success that will work for anything you want to accomplish.
1. Decide on your outcome - You must decide on what you want. You can't get where you want to go if you don't have a destination in mind. Determine what it is you really want and make up your mind to get it. It sounds obvious, but most people spend much of their time wishing and very little time deciding.
2. Take action -- Now that you know where you want to go, you have to take action in order to get there. This requires you to make a second decision to take immediate action on your first decision. Make a commitment to taking those actions that will move you toward your desired outcome. In order to do this, you must put aside all fear and doubt. Like Nike, "just do it."
3. Note your progress -- Or the lack of it. You know where you want to go, and you're taking action to get there. Now, is it working? Note what results you're getting. A commercial airliner is said to be off course most of the time it's in the air. If what you're doing is working, then great. Make any course corrections as needed, and continue to monitor your results.
4. Use modeling -- Don't reinvent the wheel. It's much easier to copy what someone else has done. If you want to be successful, then model those who already are. You can greatly enhance and accelerate your progress if you use modeling. Then, when you see what works, improve upon it.
I've employed this recipe for success many times, and it can work for anyone. Use it and then tell someone else about it so they can use it too.
