You can achieve a "big break" in your career with a successful job interview. It is not easy to obtain this success and people can experience many problems at a job interview. It is the "fear factor" that causes the most harm and it has the potential to ruin any interview. Good job interview preparation is the only solution in defeating this problem. If you blunder in unprepared to a job interview, you will find yourself in strife and it can ultimately result in an unfavorable career reputation. Successful job interviews are only achieved by intelligently answering the questions, possessing a water-tight strategy and having back up information about everything related to job.

Prepare your plan for the interview to the last detail. Obtain all the necessary information about the company, its terms and conditions, and other relevant details. Collect your achievement certificates and mark sheets. Prepare a complete and up to date file of all your data and present it in an attractive, standard format. Attach your resume to the beginning of the file and ensure that it is also up to date. Carry several copies of your updated resume with you to the interview.

Keep a written record of the type of questions you will be asked by the interviewer and prepare sample answers based on the facts at your disposal and your qualifications. The success of the interview is relies upon how well you answer the questions and how adequately you justify yourself. You should be able to explain to the interviewer your reasons for wanting this particular job, why you are wishing to gain entrance to this industry and what you are exactly looking for in this job. Your answers to these questions are crucial as they will rationalize your wishes and motivation. Expect to be also posed with questions such as, "What are your weaknesses and strengths?", "What are your greatest accomplishments?", "What do you really want to achieve in your career?", "What does your experience tell you?" and other general questions. Your answers to these questions should be informative and you must explain your points in detail.

Outline some examples in relation to your experience and training and use these appropriately whenever you want to clarify your answers. Make every effort to build a good rapport with the interviewer. Always pay attention to the interviewer carefully. Be alert and centered. Speak with honesty and clarity. Explain in detail your plan for success in this job. Make sure that you have at least two or three excellent references that will guarantee you are one step ahead of the other candidates. Always have a positive attitude, be enthusiastic and remain focused.

Organize a number of questions to ask the interviewer concerning the job and relevant company issues as this illustrates that you are really interested in doing this job and also shows that you are concerned about company issues.
