As early as their first year in formal education individuals are exposed to award programs, as schools honor students who have shown exemplary performance in a subject. An individual can get recognition for being dedicated and loyal and for achieving certain milestones in service. On the other hand, some awards are performance-based that come periodically. Today, there are many companies specializing in the production of various employee awards. Some examples of such are lapel pins, tie-tacks, rings and even high-end watches.
