Leave it to Jim Rohn, motivational speaker extraordinaire, to notice the Ant Philosophy. This is a powerful motivational philosophy that you can start using in your life immediately.

    1. Ants don't quit...ever.

Ants are not encumbered about how they're going to do something. They just do it. They have a singular focus. Gather food. That's it. And they don't quit until they've got it.

When you block their ant line, they find a way around. They don't stop looking for a way around an obstacle, until they find it.

Don't ever quit. If you lose your way, keep looking until you pick up the scent again

    2. During the summer, ants think winter.

Why do they think winter? Because during the winter, they won't be able to gather food. The summer's all the time they have. Sometimes we spend too much time enjoying the summer that we don't prepare for the inevitable winter. I'm not saying that you shouldn't enjoy the summer. You should. But always remember, winter is coming.

Ants are always thinking, "We have to gather today, because we don't know what tomorrow will bring." Do they know something that we don't know? No. They just take action. Winter is coming so we need to gather. Are you gathering during the summer?

    3. During the winter, ants think summer.

I live in Minnesota. Sometimes it seems that summer won't be coming this year. But it always does. Ants know this. Winter never lasts forever.

Of course, some winters are longer than others. But summer always comes. They sun will warm once again. Look forward to the day.

    4. During the summer, ants gather all they can. Jim Rohn has named this the all-they-possibly-can philosophy. Makes sense.

The seasons follow the same order. Always. Don't be surprised that winter follows fall. It's always the same.

But we never know the exact day that a particular season will start on. We never know when the snow will start falling. The time to prepare is now.

    To summarize the ant philosophy:

    1. Don't ever, ever quit.

    2. Winter is coming. Prepare during the summer.

    3. Remember winter will end. The summer is coming.

    4. Remember to do all-you-possibly-can.
