Many people think that success comes easy. I would have to disagree. For me, it didn't come easy, but instead required a lot of work and dedication. Not only that, it took me almost seven years to get to the point where I felt that achieved what I set out to do.
Don't be discouraged - I just want to be honest with you. It took me seven years to get to the point where I was able to say that I succeeded, though I haven't made it to the point where I want to be yet. Needless to say, I have been able to leave my fulltime job to pursue my business full time, so it is a step in the right direction.
It felt really hard to take a different path than everyone else. I had no magic instruction book on how to get to my dreams, or recipe on how to achieve success. Though I didn't know how I was going to make it happen, I was dedicated to succeed and nothing was going to get in my way.
Though I failed many times, I was dedicated to succeeding. I had a vision of where I wanted to be in ten years that included the money I had, the car I was going to drive, and the amount of money that I had in my bank account. It was this concrete goal that I had in my minds' eye that helped me to make choices each day that took me closer to my dream.
But there were plenty of roadblocks along the way. My biggest roadblock was getting my wife aboard to share my vision. All she could see was all the money that I was spending, and the little(and in some months no) money that was coming in. She thought that I was just wasting my time and that I should just go get a regular job like everyone else.
Let me tell you - if your spouse does not support your efforts, you will even have more problems. But, I am happy to report, six years into it, she finally understood that I could make money. All it took was me to buy groceries with the money that I made online.
Once I had her support, things fell into place. The business became progressively more profitable and things got better each month. I knew that I was on the right path, and success was right around the corner - I just had to continue working on the things that were bringing in money.
In the last six months, I was finally able to quit my job and the business was able to support us. Not only did I feel a great sense of accomplishment, but there is just something about reaching your goals and living the life that you have always dreamed of. It was my dedication to my future that let me get to this point in my life - if you dedicate your waking moments to your goals, you will have a great success story like this to share someday.
