World-famous motivational speaker, Ellie Drake, came from a humble home and had to face obstacles on her path to fame. She started life in Iran, where she recalls being told she could have no dreams. She should give up. Giving up wasn't an option, though. As a young lady, her parents brought her to the United States where she could learn English and live the American Dream.
Coming to American had always been one of Ellie Drake's wildest dreams. Living in the "free world" seemed impossible when growing up surrounded by bombs. When she was young, Ellie wanted so badly to learn English that she would walk to school, dictionary in hand, and memorize one new word per day. She couldn't pronounce what she was learning, but she at least familiarized herself with English terminology.
Ellie began the first day of the rest of her life when her parents finally brought her to America. She knew that with her inner passion, and with America's liberties, she would be unstoppable on her quest for success.
To have success, you have to light your passions on fire and let them burn into your heart. Success and passion are absolutely not the same things, although they seem to go hand in hand. Being successful in your job doesn't mean you're passionate about your job, but making a career out of something you're passionate about is bound to bring you success.
Ellie Drake exceeded in American schools. Her parents encouraged her to do well in school and become a doctor, because they hoped she would care for them in their old age. Ellie followed her parents' wishes and became a doctor, but her heart wasn't in it. She didn't enjoy it as she hoped she would.
Ellie handed her medical diploma to her parents one day and told them she wouldn't be returning to medicine. She wanted to be a speaker and entrepreneur even if it meant failing time after time before finding success. "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger," she thought to herself. She knew she had enough passion to shake off the dirt each time she fell on her road to success.
Passion is great, but there are always bills to pay. How can you follow you passions without losing everything? Ellie feels that's the wrong attitude to have. Your focus must be on your passions, because that's what will make you money. If you're focused on money, you can't be focused on how to make money.
When Ellie decided not to be a doctor, but rather follow her speaking passion, she was under a great deal of debt. She had $115,000 in credit card debt and $150,000 in student loan debt. She didn't focus on the debt, though. She focused on following her passions. Today, with the help of BraveHeart Productions, she empowers women and executives to achieve their American Dream as well.
Ellie Drake inspires people in her keynote talks with the tale of her trip to America and her quest for the "American Dream." Ellie Drake is known for inspiring and educating her audiences to experience quantum leaps in every aspect of their lives.
