Started back in 1892, Liverpool FC has grown into a formidable grass-roots club with raw heritage. Keep reading below some of these amazing statistics.

There is the capacity for 45362 people to attend their football stadium.

Liverpool's oldest goalscorer, Billy Liddell managed to get a goal away against Stoke City when he was 38 years old and 55 days. That was on March 5th 1960. Their youngest ever goalscorer is Michael Owen who scored when he was about 17 and a half years old against Wimbledon in 1997 - May 6th to be precise.

Liverpool also has some great hat trick scorers it can boast of. There is Roger Hunt who, during the 1961-1962 season managed 5 hat tricks - in just one season! Then there is the famed Gordon Hodgkinson who produced the most ever, which was a massive 17 hat tricks!

Liverpool can boast some hefty top goalscorers too - we have got Ian Rush who managed 346 goals for the first team, while Roger Hunt managed 245 league goals.

Ephraim Longworth has a unusual record to tell - he managed to go a full 371 games without scoring a single goal.

The highest transfer fee they ever paid was for Fernando Torres, while the highest recorded amount of money they received was £12.5 million for Robbie Fowler.
