I want to tell you a bit about my father- who was a happy go lucky person with a constant song in his heart. He never saw the movie The Secret, or went to Yoga classes. He did not read philosophy. And yet he manifested the good around him his whole life long. And when he passed away a week ago Monday I was there with him. I held his hand for a day and a half. He was loathe to let it go. And that time with him- time spent largely in the silence- was both the most heartbreaking and the most love-filled time of my life.
How my father attracted the good was that he lived with a happy heart. He made himself and others happy. So as I speak of how to access the Law of Attraction Energy, it seems fitting to look at how we too can live our lives in what I call 'the happy zone.'
So if we want to use the Law of Attraction, we have to determine what makes each of us happy. Perhaps it is communing with nature, lying in the tall grass. Perhaps it is taking a jog or swimming in the ocean. Perhaps it is simply watching the sun set.
Peaceful music puts me in a peaceful place, as does contemplating a lovely piece of artwork. And I can't say enough about reading a piece of spiritual writing for altering my mood. It may be the musings of the Dalai Lama, the Alanon book "Courage to Change", "Conversations with God" or even the affirmation cards of famed attractions Louise Hay.
I get into the space of love by lying on the couch with my arms around one of my children. I also get there by cuddling and watching a movie, or conversing with someone I care for about what makes them happy.
And I get into a place of joy by listening to powerful singers such as Cher, Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, or by watching an inspirational movie. I also get there by singing at the top of my lungs to no-one but myself. My dad and I were both aficionados of 'The Steering Wheel Concert." Today, that is still how I access the law of attraction energy. I sing to anybody or nobody and suddenly I feel good. Now the question is how to you make yourself feel good? And are you willing to take the time to do it. Because if you don't, you simply won't have success in attracting what you want to your life.
One thing about my dad, He did not watch horror flicks, sad movies, or even the news very frequently. He seemed to know instinctively that negativity was best taken in small doses and I think his example was a good one when it comes to accessing the Law of Attraction Energy.
So do what makes you feel good. Or do what makes others around you feel good- which will often alter how you feel. And don't do what makes you feel bad very frequently if at all. Follow these simple rules and you will be sure to begin to manifest the good things in life, as well as follow in my dad's footsteps, and thereby keep him alive and with us.
