Regardless of having most the the material posessions, almost everybody wants to receive more love and be loved by others. The roots for this may well be tied in to nature.
As kids, when we are brought up, we seem to have unconditional love from our parents. It has been scientifically proven that kids that receive more touch and care and loving from adults, have more confidence when they grow up to be adults and face the real world.
If you were to become self-less and start appreciating others, it is sure to come back round. Have an undenying acceptance and love for others and you will see the same attitude towards you. Don't be selfish.
Many people say that the only conditional love we can expect is from our parents and that everything else after that has almost a mutual benefit aspect to it. Call it a business transaction if you may.
Most people are running in a maze looking for love. People go to work and get material posessions in the hopes that they they will be appreciated by others. There is nothing wrong with that but it is important to be aware of such tendencies.
It is important to not try and hold onto something that you love. The more you try and hold on to it, the more it will seem to slip away. Just appreciate things for what they are and enjoy them in the moment.
