A lot of parents are now beginning to realize the importance of providing their children with healthy, well-balanced diets. But as well as ensuring that they are eating the right kinds of foods they also know that caring for their child's skin properly is important as well. A child's skin is extremely sensitive and certainly, those who suffer from skin conditions such as eczema may find many commercial products can exacerbate their condition. Although most products simply need to be mixed together in a jar or pot there are some which do require some cooking. However, one does not need to have specialist culinary skills in order to do this. Generally, the types of skin care products that one can make using only natural organic ingredients can either be applied directly to the child's skin or eaten by them. But whichever one a parent makes they know that the chances of them causing any unwanted side effects are greatly reduced.
Actually, making your own products rather than purchasing ready made ones can prove to be extremely cost effective as well. Plus once made some of the products you can use of your baby will last for several months before they become ineffective. Below we look at some kinds of products, which you may want to make for yourself.
If you are parent who uses talcum powder on their child then why not make your own rather than using those that you can buy in your local grocery or drugstore. A good one contains 1 cup of arrowroot powder, 1 tablespoon of dried ground chamomile and 1 tablespoon of dried lavender. Once mixed together this can then be applied to the child's skin and will not only keep the skin dry but also prevent bacteria from growing.
Another important product that many parents use on their child is a baby shampoo. Certainly there are plenty of baby ones available, but a few of these can be very harmful to a child's skin. Instead, why not make your own by mixing together some fresh rosemary that has boiled in distilled water and then strained. To this, you then add some unscented baby oil and some drops of rosemary essential oil.
As well as the natural organic baby skin care products that we have mentioned above which you can make. There are plenty of others that you may want to consider making for yourself. A quick search of the internet and you will find plenty of different skin care product recipes that you can make using only natural organic ingredients.
