If you're just searching the web or have a affiliate website online, guess what? Visitors to your website is very important. Also the websites you visit help the owners get free traffic. Imagine traffic as a major highway full of automobiles searching for a exit. And the exit is your website.

These tools show you exactly what people are typing into the Google, Yahoo or Alexa search engines when looking for your particular product. Or you can simply type the words "free keyword tools" in any search engine and use those provided. When using these keyword tools simply type in the name of the product you are selling. Then start from the "very bottom" analyzing the keywords that best describe your product.

Let's make this link more presentable to search engines and viewers. A great website at http://www.shortURL.com will allow you to make your affiliate link look like this: Apples.2fortune.com instead of the ugly long coded original affiliate link. Also giving you a .com highly ranked link for only $1.88 a year.

Now with your effective list of longtail keywords and your new pleasant looking affiliate link. Let's increased online traffic with a Web log, better known as a blog. Go to www.blogger.com or WordPress.com and get your FREE weblog.

Remember in the earlier example, your primary keyword was apples which is to competitive for now. You might use (candy apples) as your secondary keyword but this is still to competitive for the beginner. To increase online traffic you should begin with "longtail keywords".

As I stated earlier (Long tail keywords) are phrases with 3 or more words in the phrase. You have a smaller audience using Long tail keywords; but this is where you start for free search engine traffic.

Use all of these keywords in the paragraphs of your web blog to describe your affiliate product. Also include your more pleasing affiliate link you made from http://www.shorturl.com. The example Link: Apples.2fortune.com using a highly ranked .com address can certainly increase your online traffic.

Now if you really want to increase online traffic once your web blog is up and working and you are making posts daily or weekly. Visit: http://www.technorati.com this website keeps track of ALL web blog's. By clicking on blog on their website you can view the blog's that are related to yours.
