Every thing you do has short term effects, and long term effects. SEO is definitely one of those things with long term effects. No matter what search engine you’re optimizing your site for, one thing is certain, that it’s not going to happen magically over night.
Search engine optimization is a long process, often drawn out over the life of the site that never seems to end, and you can never seem to be ahead of it.
I’ve found the easiest way to search engine optimize your site is to break the main tasks down into sections, then dedicate a certain amount of time daily to those sections. For example, building your content should be of the utmost priority. You may want to give this extra time over say, directory submissions. (Not only that but directory submissions are boring!).
Along with content, you’ll want to get link backs to these articles and site. Link building is easily done, and can even be achieved when doing the content building by making “Link Bait“. Link baiting is a tricky practice, takes some time and getting used to but once you’re good at it, you’ll find high levels of success.
Lets say you take 30 minutes for content (timing this post so far i’ve been typing it for 4 minutes off the top of my head). Another 30 minutes for building links. You’ll have an hour for your site invested in link building. So for an hour a day (and some days you may not write new content, or get link building) you can have yourself a very nice starting SEO campaign.
