In this day and age many people looking to start their own businesses and become their own boss are turning to the internet. Whether you are starting a MLM, affiliate marketing or an independent business the key to using the internet is to generate traffic to your website that will lead to sales. There are many different products and tools that you can use to do this. One product that you see promoted frequently are self replicating business opportunity websites. Be careful.
You are in business for yourself so that you have control correct? Self replicating websites are sites that are identical to every other member's site of the same business opportunity program. The only difference between your page and the guy next to you is that your page contains either your affiliate number or your email. People purchase the self replicating websites thinking that it will help get them traffic and build internet presence. The truth is that you are killing your marketing program and here is why.
A few years ago, self-replicating web sites actually were a legitimate business opportunity. You could get your name, service or business more visible because your page rank was higher so that when someone did a search on a particular service or product using your keywords, bingo. Your site came up. However, search engines caught onto this very quickly and decided that this type of visibility was not fair to other struggling entrepreneurs like you.
Therefore, the search engines started to penalize sites that submitted content that was a precise match to that of another site that had been previously indexed in a given search engine. And in fact, search engines are still thinking of ways to continue to rid the Internet of replicated web sites. This means that if you have one, you're not only losing page rank, but probably a lot of traffic as well. This means that a lot of potential sales are gone before they ever get to you.
Therefore, because search engines don't want your site to be self-replicating, don't waste your money or time on one. There are other reasons as well that you shouldn't have one. For one thing, you can't manage a self-replicating web site. You can't improve the content or make it in any way unique. You can't alter it in any way or add other types of advertising besides what are already on the organization's other replicated sites. You can't track your page, either. Therefore, this isn't a plan for success, but for failure. You don't want that, do you?
There are better options out there for your business. Whatever you do you're going to need targeted effective search engine advertising. Don't do anything that could hinder that.
