Many people view the Victorian era as a very positive period of time, even people that were not alive to experience the real thing think very fondly of that time. Victorian architecture is very grand and awe inspiring. The interior design was very complicated, many people would consider this as being too cluttered today. Wall to wall carpets weren't a common sight, if you have carpet and want to create a Victorian effect then you should consider ripping them up and fitting hard wood flooring instead.
