Many owners of bed & breakfast locations want to make some changes but they don't have too much money to put into the projects. That doesn't have to stop you from really getting a great look that you want though. All it takes is some shopping around, some basic ideas, and the willingness to try out new things.

Most of us have changed the curtains in our home from time to time to get a new look. There is no reason why you can't do the same thing for your bed & breakfast. Take a look at what is one sale in the off season clearance and put them away. Then you will always have plenty of nice looking curtains that fit your windows.

Are your walls too bare for your liking? Add some border to the edges of it and you will like the way it brings out the color. There are hundreds of patterns of wall border you can choose from. They won't cost you very much and you can hang them up in very little time. They will also stay securely in place so you won't have to continually update them.

Fresh coats of paint do wonders for any business, but they can be boring after a while. It can add some nice designs by using a sponge to put the paint on. One word of caution with this though - only one person can do it. Otherwise the motions of the sponge will stand out due to the way people make their movements.

Your walls may need some additions when it comes to what you display on them. Look for detailed oil paintings that people will enjoy looking at. You may find you have too many things to look at on your walls as well. Removing some of them and spacing out what you leave behind can really enhance the look and make a room appear to be bigger than it is.

Fresh or silk flowers are always a good choice and you can never go wrong with the colors you choose. Look for unique vases to display them inside of. Put them on shelves or countertops in order to brighten up the various rooms at your bed & breakfast. You may want to use silk flowers so you can change the look based on the seasons.

Handmade quilts look very nice on the beds you offer your guests as well. You may want to take up these skills on your own. You can also buy them from a craft show for a good price. If you know someone that makes quilts for a hobby, you can ask them to make what you need and negotiate a fair price with them.

There are really many ways in which you can enhance the look of your bed & breakfast. Take your time to focus on one area at a time. It doesn't matter how small of a budget you are working with. Many of these ideas can be implemented at a very low cost. You will find it keeps people coming back and that means more profits for you.
