If your wife to be wants to have a backyard wedding then it's almost certainly because the backyard is special to her. Perhaps she has special memories from the backyard, perhaps she played in it with her friends. A backyard wedding will make your backyard even more special.

Important Tips when Planning a Backyard Wedding

The wedding ceremony itself cannot normally be done in your backyard, and so most people will have a small ceremony and have the reception hosted in the backyard. Backyard weddings can only typically be small, but small weddings don't mean that they're not ice. Intimate weddings have a few great benefits. You won't be stressed booking a huge venue for the reception because everyone can fit in your backyard. You also get to decorate your yard yourself however you want it done. This means that you can have fun and save money at the same time.

Backyard weddings also have many more benefits, they are not only cheaper but they are not as stressful. You could get your friends to help you decorate your yard with the help of some drinks and food! It's not difficult or expensive. You get to spend time with your loved ones while decorating and can have a laugh.

    The Wedding Ceremony

For the ceremony itself you could rent one of those portable canopies and folding chairs. You only need these things and so it will save you even more money. You may then have more money left over to decorate for your special day. The most expensive thing for your wedding will probably be the ribbon and tulle. Perhaps you will also want to invest in some silk flowers.

    The Wedding Reception

Simple food such as barbeques is suitable for backyard weddings. Something like a barbeque or cold cut will go down very well with your guests. These meals are much more casual and so they allow you to mingle. It is very easy to relax in your backyard, which after all is what you want.

    Making Arrangements for Backyard Weddings

It is very easy to use your backyard for both the wedding ceremony and the reception party. Simply split the yard in half, use half for your reception and the other half for your ceremony. If your back yard is a bit on the small side then you can simply place the table at the opposite end of your garden to the wedding canopy.

    Conclusion

Backyard weddings can be a little risky, what will you do if it rains? You need some plan just in case it does tip it down for your special day. Canopies or a plan to run inside would do fine.
