You will be able to place it up against the garage or basement wall. As for permanent tables you will need the space and you will need to make sure that it is stable. You will find that that there is some room in the workshop that you will need to take up with this table, but it can be a hassle to place a table up and then tear it down. It's basically what you want.
When it comes to selecting the wood, you will want to make sure that it is durable and has good quality. You will need to keep in mind that the sturdier the table the better. You will need to create a table that will last for years to come.
