I love spicing up cohesive home design with a few unique pieces here and there. Don't get me wrong, maintaining flow of design is most important, but it can be a bit boring. The thought of changing your already beautiful home may feel a bit, well, unsettling. But no need to worry! Regardless of design style, a bit or wrought iron, such as a wrought iron coat rack may be just the adventure you're ready for.

You can use many small entry way wrought iron items that will create a sense of elegance that even your paper boy can't ignore. These simple little items such as wrought iron coat racks and wrought iron key racks are perfect little ornamental additions to any home.

Instead of having guests place their coats on the floor or in your already full closet, have them hang those items on a beautiful wrought iron coat rack. Wrought iron coat racks are not just for coats. Depending on the style and the size of your coat rack will help offer up different uses. You can hang your hats, scarves and mittens on them also.

Ohhh! Want even more charming look? Find a medium to large sized wrought iron coat rack and place it in your living room near the fireplace. Find a pair of antique leather boots to tie together and hang from the arms. Absolutely lovely! To continue the theme hang a wrought iron key rack on the opposite side of the fireplace and hang antique tin cups by their handles. Just thinking about it makes me want a cup of hot chocolate!

A more practical use of a wrought iron key rack is to place keys on it. Everyone I know abhors losing their keys. Simply hang the decorative rack in an easy to remember location and solve the "lost key" syndrome. For a bit of a more dramatic flair, purchase a giant sized wrought iron key rack as decoration and functionality.

Not sure on which wrought iron style suits you? Go to a home design store. Professional designers are available for free consultation and the show rooms offer great ideas. Quite often I visit a home decor boutique simply to "borrow" a design idea. I then drive to my local outlets and purchase similar pieces within my modest budget.

Be sure to choose the decorative elements to compliment your environment. Wrought iron pieces are very beautiful and offer your home a touch of class and elegance; a touch of rustic beauty from medieval times. Have some fun with it and give your home personalized flare. It's highly suggested you decorate with the addition of a wrought iron coat rack and a wrought iron key rack. Edited by Glinda Zuladra
