On the whole most heavy drinkers at some stage in their life will either consider to stop drinking or just to cut down on the booze. The underlying question that they ponder on is how? To be able to tackle that question we first need to find out how life can change by cutting back or even quitting alcohol, which is exactly what we are going to do.
What we need to consider then are the actual questions that we should be asking ourselves on why we want to cut back on drinking and don't forget to write down the answers as you may need reminding at a later date. The sort of questions that you need to consider would be something like these;- Does my lifestyle need improving? Do I need give my family more quality time? Is my health suffering at present? What is the real route reason for wanting to take steps on cutting back.
A recent study showed and was performed on a hundred people. They got 50 people to write their goals down and the other 50 to do nothing accept try and achieve their goals. What the study showed was quite amazing as the first 50 people who wrote their goals down and went through them everyday over a period of 3 months, they found 85% of them reached their goals.
The other 50 they found that a very small percentage (8%) only achieved their goals. The thing here is if you don't know what you want or how to get there then you're not going to reach your goals, like quitting drinking. So if you want to quit drinking or cut down on your drinking you must first set yourself goals, but realistic ones. (Remember Drinking Does Not Control You, You Control Your Drinking).

When neat sprits are consumed in concentrated amounts, they can irritate your stomach lining, causing a response which delays the absorption of the alcohol. Almost as soon as we have some alcohol, it seems to have an effect on out central nervous system. It begins by depressing the inhibitory centres of your brain. Alcohol effects people in different ways, some people become relaxed, others become very aggressive and some just become more confident in themselves, like taking more, and some even think they become more attractive (I don't think so).
