The first sign & symptom of bronchitis is a violent mucus filled cough. The mucus build up is usually a yellow or green color and this build up is one of the primary signs & symptoms of bronchitis.
The second sign is soreness in the chest and/or throat areas. The mucus builds up in the chest region and is forced up to the throat. The forcing of the expelling causes the soreness experienced both in the chest as well as in the throat. The soreness can even feel like a burning sensation in the throat or chest region.
If you feel that you are tired all of the time, this is another sign that you may have bronchitis. People who suffer from this illness experience difficulty in breathing, in particular when they find themselves coughing constantly.
The constant coughing and breathlessness experienced by someone who has bronchitis results in fatigue in which the person feels sluggish and tired. The breathing difficulty may also be accompanied by a wheezing sound when attempting to breathe.
The fourth sign is fever. This can occur particularly is the cause of the bronchitis is as a result of a bacteria or virus buildup. The body has to raise its temperature in order to fight off the cause of the bronchitis to begin with. Sometimes the fever might even be accompanied by a wave of chills as well as a bout of fatigue
