Roger Hamilton, a leading wealth expert and consultant in Asia, is the author of the international bestseller, "Wink and Grow Rich", and he is the creator of the Wealth Dynamics Profiling System. He made his first million in his twenties, and was financially independent by age 30.
Roger is the chairman and co-founder of XL Results Foundation, which is the largest entrepreneur network in Asia Pacific. XL Results Foundation is the publisher of "XL Magazine". "XL Magazine" is the first magazine in the world dedicated to social enterprise.
Roger hasn't always been rich. He's both made and lost millions. The difference between Roger Hamilton and most other entrepreneurs is that he believes there are lessons to be learned from mistakes. He doesn't give up. He specializes in building new Asian businesses as a serial entrepreneur, and he even chose the Asian Crisis of 1997 as a time to launch his very first one.
Wealth isn't everything to Roger. Passion is what drives him. Passion is that little voice in your head that makes you want to jump out of bed rather than hitting the snooze button. Getting started on the day ahead is so much more rewarding when you're doing something you truly enjoy whether it makes you rich or not.
Roger looks at the relationship between wealth and passion in a unique way. His definition of wealth isn't how much cash you have. It's what's left over when all the money is spent or lost. If your only passion is money, you'll have nothing when the money is gone. Having other passions allows you to rebuild wealth when necessary.
Life is made up of one choice after another. Roger Hamilton learned that lesson well while attending Cambridge University. He went to school to study architecture, but he had a passion for rowing. He enjoyed practicing with the team. In addition, he had friends who encouraged him to get a job to pay for a fun trip to Greece with them.
So many times we're also faced with several choices that are all equally important to us. When that happens, Roger likes to turn the choice into just one long question to get one combined answer. We can multitask at work, so why not multitask with our passions?
To become an architect, Roger needed to fill a portfolio. To go to Greece required money. Rowing made him happy, though. He decided to draw pictures of famous places for his portfolio, sell copies so he didn't have to waste time on a job, and use his free time for rowing. What a great solution!
Passion and wealth sometimes go hand in hand. Want to discover how? Roger Hamilton learned the secret. To discover how your passions sometimes help build your wealth, visit Roger Hamilton.
