Perhaps one of the most aggravating aspects of having a cell phone is when you miss a telephone call. There are many reasons why you can miss a phone call, however, when you miss a very important call due to your ringer's low volume, this is extremely aggravating. If you own an iPhone, than you may have missed many phone calls due to the low ringer volume, which is very surprising. When you have a cell phone as high-tech as the iPhone, than you expect it to be able to properly notify you when you have a phone call, however, due to the iPhone's lower than normal ringer volume many people are missing phone calls. But what can you do about the iPhone's low ringer volume?
The iPhone's small speakers are often blamed for the low ringer volume. After all, if the speakers are small then surely they won't be able to produce much volume? In fact this isn't the case at all. The reason that the ringer volume is so low is that the ringtones that the iPhone comes preloaded with are recorded at a low volume. If you replace these ringtones with new ringtones you should be able to fix this problem.
The default ringtones are recorded at a low frequency which is why they sound so quiet. If you want to hear them more clearly then you will need to find a ringtone that is of a higher frequency. If you own an Apple Mac you can use the Garage Band application and find a new ringtone in there. One of the best ringtones you could use from Garage Band is the sound clip name "Cell Phone Ringing".
Obviously to be able to use this sound clip as your ringtone you will need to transfer this sound clip from your computer onto your iPhone. If you have an Intel Mac you can use iFuntastic. If you use Windows then you can use either iPhoneRingToneMaker or iBrickr. All of these applications will allow you to transfer sound clips to your iPhone to use as ringtones and once you've done that you should have a much louder ringtone on your phone.
The ringtone that you select should be naturally loud by default. This will make it much easier to hear when you have an incoming call. A device as sophisticated as the iPhone needs to be perfect in every way and by fixing the lower ringer volume you will be eliminating a common problem and will no longer have to put up with missing calls because you didn't hear them.
