Vending machines offer us more than we realize, but the fact that they are everywhere we go often makes them something we don't always notice. If you take the time to focus on them and what they offer though you may simply be amazed at what you have right in front of you. There is much more in them than just some food to eat and drinks to consume
There are also vending machines that offer a variety of different supplies that you may need. What is inside of a vending machine is often determined by the location where it will reside. For example I went to a bowling alley where they sold socks in one for $2 a pair. They had men's, women's, and children's sizes. Such items in a vending machine on a street corner or a bus stop definitely wouldn't sell very well.
The key is to fill the vending machine with whatever may sell well at that location. For example many hotels have vending machines that offer razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, mouthwash, and more. These are all common items that people may forget to pack for their trip but really need. They love being able to insert some money and get that item without any problems.
Even newspapers are found to be offered in vending machines. The days of someone standing on the street corners with them is in the past. You can just insert your coins and get the newspaper you want though. It isn't uncommon for several different newspapers to be offered in a common location either.
Chances are you have purchased a newspaper from a vending machine as well. It amazes me that they don't dispense one by one. Instead the latch unlocks and you can have access to all of them inside. Of course very few people would have a reason to take additional newspapers so it generally isn't an issue.
Just about every country has vending machines as well. If you travel to a new destination take a look at what they offer. You will likely come across many of the same items you find at home. You may find some that completely surprise you as well. For example live plants, books, and magazines. It depends on what area of a country you visit as well.
If you haven't traveled to other countries you may be curious about vending machines there as well. Just about every country around does offer them but some more than others. One country that has an abundance of them is Japan, with about 1 for every 20 people. There are all types of items in them including books and even live plants.
If all of the vending machines out there disappeared we would likely be upset. There is no doubt something you need wouldn't be readily available without them. Even if you could get it from another location, we are so spoiled by the many vending machines out there that we wouldn't be happy about it at all.
Robert Farnham actually knows what he is talking about. He started his vending business the wrong way, and eventually turned it into a large, profitable company. You can read more at his vending website.
