It is very interesting what will sell in our society sometimes, and one of the unique elements may be that your bed & breakfast is haunted. People report such instances all the time. If you have an older business or an older home that you have converted for this purpose you may find you aren't alone in your endeavors. The number of people searching for haunted bed & breakfast locations continues to grow all the time.

There are many of them around that you can take a look at. Some of them have historical events behind them while others are due to events that took place at what once was a regular home or just another bed & breakfast on the map. Some of these locations are really getting a great deal of attention though.

Curiosity is what gets most people into these locations. They want to find out for themselves if there is something to the talk or not. They also want to be able to share this type of experience with others. They can say they have been there and either seen the ghostly encounters or they didn't feel like there was anything present there. That is the type of experience that one will find more fascinating if they experience it on their own.

Others though aren't impressed with the hype at all. They feel this is just a ridiculous type of marketing ploy. They have to admit though that it is extremely effective. Most of these haunted bed & breakfasts have waiting lists of people that want to get a stay at them. Keep that in mind if you are looking at staying at some of them any time soon.

The internet is the best resource for finding these locations out there. You may be able to get some inside information about them locally, but only once you are in that particular area. By then it will be too late to stay there due to other plans you have made and the reservations other people have secured at the bed & breakfast. Keep that information for future reference though as you can try to stay there the next time you are in town.

Some you may want to check out though include the Groveland Bed & Breakfast in California. The stories goes that a miner died there one night but is still seen around the establishment. He likes his space too so if you put your make up or other items in the bathroom he will move them to the counter. Sometimes he will turn on lights or the water too in order to let people know he is around.

In New Hampshire plenty of guests stay at the Notchland Inn. Many have reported waking up to the bathroom being steamy as if the shower had been on. There are often messages written on the mirrors in the steam as well. Sometimes they are written with lipstick. Items are also known to be moved or even added to the room that weren't there before.

If you are looking for a unique twist in your search of a bed & breakfast, you may want to check out those that are thought to be haunted. This can add a new level of adventure to your travel plans that you haven't experienced before. Of course these types of locations aren't for the weak at heart as you do want to be able to get a good night of sleep while you are there.
