I can't remember when I saw the first TV commercial depicting the Maytag repairman sitting around wishing someone would call for a repair on their Maytag product without any luck. I've always thought it was a fabulous marketing idea for the company and now that it's lasted decades it's even more obvious that it's a successful one!

Recently I read an article that discussed Hyundai and while reading it I was eerily reminded of the Maytag Repairman and his lack of necessary repairs. The Hyundai spokesperson in the article mentioned that their projected costs related to their warranties were always higher than the actual costs to the company.

That's impressive considering the Hyundai warranty: 10 years/100,000 miles powertrain; 5 years/60,000 miles bumper to bumper, etc.) the fact that they're upholding their end of the bargain on this very thorough warranty and keeping their costs under projections led me to drift off into a strangely reminiscent day dream about the Maytag repairman not having any problems to handle due to the high quality product he specialized in. Hyundai owners all over the place are probably so relieved when they buy their car because it comes with such a great warranty, but you know what? They're probably even more relieved when they never have to use it because nothing ever goes wrong!

I can't think of anyone who wouldn't think that was a fabulous moment. And I can't imagine a car manufacturer being unaware of that fact. At Hyundai they're not only very aware, but they took the necessary steps to instill quality into each and every vehicle they create.

Standing out from the crowd isn't hard with you have the impressive warranty that Hyundai offers, but they also took into account the other undeniably important aspect of car manufacturing that leaves the public feeling like they can trust their new Hyundai: safety features. It isn't just a happy coincidence that Hyundai's 2006 Sonata was the first midsize sedan to offer Electronic Stability Control (ESC) standard. This particular safety feature lowers single vehicle crashes by 35% and results in 30% less single vehicle fatalities.

Hyundai definitely carved a niche for themselves in the past and they continue to settle into it comfortably withe ever better vehicle line ups year after year. For more information on the Hyundai's current line up and the features you can enjoy get online at HyundaiTempe.com.
