If you're thinking about becoming a psychic reader, anyone can do it. The title tells the truth; psychic reading is a skill that can be learned by anybody. Your path to being a psychic reader begins with accepting your abilities.

Sometimes it takes time for our subconscious mind to tune up with or conscious mind. Start thinking in terms of your psychic ability. Talk with other people about this ability in order to put the idea out into the public. Tell yourself on a daily basis "I am psychic".

To become familiar with psychic abilities, as it pertains to yourself or others, it is valuable to read any material you can find regarding that subject. You may want to attend psychic workshops that will teach you to become a psychic reader, or enroll in group training or courses given by a medium. These are usually available at a reasonable cost. You may want to join a spiritualist church fellowship that have training circles and people of similar mindset.

Your psychic abilities should be practiced on a regular basis. You shouldn't feel bad if you fail sometimes as this is only natural; as a person, you can err. Your abilities will strengthen and improve as you continue to use them. Tarot cards are not a good place to start, because their interpretation is complex and you need to feel the answers coming from whatever source that you use. With practice, your mind will become trained to receive information from beyond your senses. While it will take some time for your mind to accept the change. Working with a tool that you can focus on (other that the tarot at first) will help you to use your psychic intuition.

Psychometry works by holding an item belonging to someone else and using it as a focus to receive psychic energy. Touch the item and concentrate on making a connection between it and the person who it belongs to. Envision the information you seek creeping up through your fingers to your arms, up your neck, and into your mind. Your answers will be in the form of quick snippets of voices, impressions of feelings, and a flash of the subject's past or present. Narrate all the information that you perceive. Be sure to stay calm and avoid getting discouraged, even if the information upsets you. Honing these senses will improve your ability as a psychic reader.

It will feel like your mind is moving at a different pace from the rest of the world; you will feel less input from your ordinary senses and more from your own mind. You will be surprised once the information comes to you as if it were already within you. Whether you are recording this session or someone else is taking notes, you need to mention everything you hear, feel, sense, and see in your minds eye. With the passage of time, you will be capable of being a psychic reader without relying on a focal point.

Practice is essential if you want to get to the psychic reader level that you want. You need to get accustomed allowing information to come to you from a source outside of your bodily senses. Lets imagine you get a phone call, take a brief second to think about who may be calling. You'll be amazed at how much you'll improve over time.

I once got a letter from my sister that made me sad just to touch it. I called her and she said she hadn't been feeling bad when she wrote or handled the letter. I think that feelings are being channeled through me, perhaps from a postal worker who handled the letter previously. I only know that someone was very sad when they touched the letter on it's way to me.

Attempt to understand anyone's feelings near you. Sometimes when I'm with my niece in a room, the words to a song just materialize in my brain. All of sudden, she seems to know that same song and begins humming it. It's difficult to deduce who receives from whom, because she might have had the tune in mind prior to actually humming it aloud. I do know that I have proven to be a good receiver when someone is sending me visual communication and enables me to be a good psychic reader.

The best recommendation I can give is to repeat this exercise and locate someone who isn't opposed to taking on a listening role while you become practiced in the reception of psychic energy. Do not get discouraged if they are not all correct. Just remember, practice actually does make a perfect and acurate psychic reader.
